    The Ministry of Communications and Asharqia Chamber launch "Digital Atta Initiative" in Jubail Governorate

    Al-Bajash: The initiative is working to focus the work on erasing the digital literacy of the community

     

     

    On Tuesday evening, 20 November 2018, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Communications and Technology Committee, launched the first specialized training programs that targeted 50 trainees in implementation of the Ministry's initiative, which was launched recently, with the aim of spreading digital knowledge.

    The initiative took place at Asharqia Chamber's branch in Jubail, Fanateer district.

     

    For his part, a member of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber and Chairman of the Communications and Technology Committee, Nasser bin Rashid Al-Bajash, stressed the Committee's support to the sector through specialized activities and events that held in cooperation with the relevant departments and entities.

    Al-Bajash explained during the opening of the training events that the program is in partnership with the Chamber represented by the Committee on Communications and Technology,

    He pointed out that the events are held under the title "Digital Atta Initiative", where more than 300 thousand beneficiaries benefits from it, as it aims to contribute to the dissemination of digital awareness.

    Al-Bajash also valued the partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. He stressed that these efforts are working to focus the actual work on the eradication of digital illiteracy among all segments of society.

    He pointed out that this partnership seeks to establish the program periodically, in the cities of Dammam, Khobar, Jubail, Khafji and Qatif, which targets male and female trainees.

     

    The trainees underwent 5 training hours from 5 pm to 9 pm and was presented by the specialized trainer in the digital sector, Saadiya Al-Mutairi.

    It aims to enrich the content in this area, and provide the basics in information security, especially regarding the policies and risks of privacy in the means of social communication and the activation of protection and safety.

     

    Al-Bajash praised the positive interaction with these training courses targeted at technology professionals.

    He noted that the community in the Eastern region is full of many interested individuals in the field of technology whose wish to develop their abilities and skills and their potential and raise to the degree of professionalism.

    He pointed out that this initiative is implemented through a number of innovative means with the participation of a group of experts, specialists and technical amateurs in order to raise the level of digital capabilities of members of society through the dissemination of the culture of giving, contributing to the training and education of people with digital content and the most important technical knowledge, to motivate those with digital skills to initiate the dissemination of knowledge to all members of society and to highlight the distinctive models and technical models that in order to achieve the Vision of the Kingdom of 2030, as digital transformation is one of the basic pillars of the Vision.​
